Today being the last day of November I guess I have survived my first attempt at NaBloPoMo and below you will find my badge to prove it.  A couple of days I had doubts but because of my children, stupid people in the world and relatives sending my crazy stuff I always had something to post about.  With Christmas upon us and family coming in from Hawaii I am afraid I will be too busy to post everyday during December but I intend on giving it my best shot.

I hope you have enjoyed some of the things you have read for the month of November.  Even though at times my fingers hurt from typing and my eyes hurt from reading everyone else’s blogs I have to say I am not tired of blogging.  I think it is a great form of release for me.  Even if no one wants to hear about the 15 minute tantrum Lani through or Michaela getting through her last year of high school just writing about it helps me get through it.  To have one graduating high school, one discovering boys and one in diapers sometimes it can get to be a little much but I am making it and loving every minute of it.  I have a wonderful husband who keeps us all grounded and even though our family is in Hawaii and Louisiana they are close in our hearts and only a phone call away.  Thanks for sticking it out with me through all of the posts, I really appreciate it.

My father-in-law sent this to me. It is a haka performed by Gingerbread men. It is so cute. If you do not know what a haka is let me explain. A haka is a traditional dance form of the Maori of New Zealand. It is a posture dance with shouted accompaniment, preformed by a group. It is one of my favorite forms of dance. It just has so much energy and life and they can be quite loud. We saw this type of dance done on your first trip to Hawaii.

Diamonds, Loose diamonds, Wholesale Loose Diamonds or Diamonds already set in a ring are a girl’s best friend.  I have never had a solitaire diamond before because when Matt and I got engaged I opted for a solitaire sapphire surrounded by diamonds instead of a solitaire diamond.  I did however ask him for a diamond solitaire this year for Christmas.  I love my wedding band and I do not want another one but I would like a solitaire to go with my band.  I am hoping Santa thinks I was a good girl this year.  I would like a little box waiting from me under the tree this year.

Starting December 1st I will post a coloring page with a bible verse for you to print out and your child to color.  Read the verse to your child even if they are not old enough to understand, you will see they enjoy the simple fact of being read too then let them color it.   I intend to have the page up by 8 am each morning because I would not want to disappoint anyone.  If you have any questions or suggestions please let me know and I hope you enjoy the extra quality time with your child while you teach them the importance of the Christmas season.

Are you racking your brain trying to think of something you could give for a holiday present that has some meaning behind it? Have you thought about a Photo Blanket or a photo pillow? A photo pillow with that special moment you said I do on it or how about a dog bed with your doggie’s picture on it. If Daddy goes on business trips a lot have a pillow made with his picture on it and give it to your son or daughter so that they feel Daddy is always close to them. Maybe over the summer you and group of friends took a vacation of a life time, make a pillow for them with some of the amazing pictures that were taken.

For this guy not to have children he really hit the nail on the head.  He must have had a crazy childhood.  Just for the record the Wiggles to creep me out a little too.  Have fun with this one and don’t take it too serious.  I think everyone needs a pill every now and then.  Just laugh for a minute but if you laugh for 10-15 minutes everyday you could lose 4 pounds a year.  Think about it, you laughing right now aren’t you?

With the new Johnny Depp movie coming out in December I am sure Michaela and I will be going to see it.  She loves musicals and Matt does not so I always take her.  Remember confessing is good for the soul so look deep within and confess to that terrible act of revenge.  So with that in mind you can call, write or create a video and make your own Dashboard Confessional for all to see.  When I was in 9th grade me and my friend liked the same boy in school.  I was “dating” him then he broke up with me to go out with my friend.  She told me they were going to the movies that night so I went to the movies with other friends and when the lights went out in the theater we sat there and threw popcorn at them all through the movie.  It was dark so she never saw it was me.  They broke up a couple of days later, he was such a player.  Now with that being said visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site and check out the trailer.  It is directed by Tim Burton so you know it is going to be dark.  Also, check visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace.

I took a quiz to see how much blogging ruled my life and I was surprised.  With NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) going on this month I thought my number would have been much higher.  I fell like I am blogging my fingers to the bone for NaBloPoMo but we only have 1 day left so it is almost over and I have done it.  I have blogged everyday for the entire month of November.  Horray for me.  I am very proud of the fact that I accepted the challangen and completed it.

Do you ever wonder what companies really do with all of the market research
they conduct?  The company I work for had us all fill out those questioners to see how much we like our job and work place.  All of the people that are in my office are not pleased with the way they office is ran and the assistance we receive from the company on personal matters through HR and no one gave the company a good review.  We had the meeting to let us know how the survey went we were astounded by the fact that the office received the highest marks in every category.  How did that happen?  What survey forms were they reviewing?  It just goes to show you that you can make any survey read exactly the way you want it to.

Lani came home today with papers from school that the class did together. I love when they start bringing stuff home from school that you can put on on the fridge and admire. She is so sweet and she was so proud when I took her papers out of her bag. Cherish is time while you can before you know it they will be graduating and going off to college.

Ever thought about going to San Diego or Key West but did not know anyone there to give you a tour of the city to make sure you saw everything?  Trusted

Tours and Attractions is a leading source for guided tours for some of your favorite cities.  Sign up for their newsletter and you will be eligible to win 4 tickets to tours in a city of your choice.

Matt and I spend our honeymoon in Key West and we had a blast.  One of the things we did was the ghost tour and it was so much fun.  You leave for the tour at dusk so by the time you get the really scary stuff it is really dark expect for the lantern carried by the guide telling the creepy stories.  Michaela was in tears by the time we left the last house on the tour which was Robert’s house.  It did not help her situation that most of the people in the tour were saying; do you see that in the window?  It was all too much for Michaela to bear.  It was so much fun; we hope to do it again someday.

Michaela’s piercing is doing great.  All of the swelling has gone down and now she is in the process of keeping it clean and making sure the bar is able to move back and forth freely.  Lani is trying to say I love you and it is so precious.  When you say I love you to her she says her own version on it back to you.  She is getting to big it is hard to believe she is 16 1/2 months old now.

One of the things I like about Christmas is the free gifts companies that you do business with through out the year send out. I was at the dentist office earlier today and they had promotional items with the dentist name on all of the counters, things like mugs and magnet calendars. I was standing waiting to check out and they just started handing me this stuff. I felt like Christmas came early. Yesterday in the mail I received a calendar from my insurance agent. I think that was out of guilt for the ridiculous prices they charge me for my homeowner’s policy though. ;)

I have to say when this came into my e-mail box I almost just hit forward to everyone in my address book but then I stopped and decided to look it up on snopes.  I was glad I did.  I, like most of you, are touched my the thought of sending one more Christmas card out in the hopes it would reach someone who has given so much for us, an American solider.  I was saddened by the fact that this is simply not the case.  According to Snopes this “extra Christmas card” will be thrown away unopened.

If you know of a program that we could send cards to and they would actually get to a solider please let me know and I will me more than happy to post it on the site and hopefully get everyone who reads it to send out a card.  During this time of the year our hearts are filling with generosity and sometimes we just do not know what to do with it.  Please share you ways of giving back during this time of the year.  Below please see the email that was forwarded to me.

When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to this address.  If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get. A Great Idea!!!
When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:
         A Recovering American soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical  Center

6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
         Washington, D..C. 20307-5001
If you approve of the idea, please pass it on to your e-mail list.

I love to do those quizzes and put widgets and cool stuff on my pages. I was looking around for some cool Blog Stuff and I came across this site that has just what I was looking for. Everything from cool blog stickers (the equivalent to bumper stickers) to quizzes to see if you are a geek or how much energy your body produces. I know you have always wondered, would you survive a zombie apocalypse? You better stick with me because I have a 40% chance of survival, on the other hand maybe you should take the test and get back to me, and maybe I will be hanging out with you. Have fun and post your badges.40%

In 70-431, previous experience of 1Y0-259 as well as 70-292 counts a lot. This is why it is advised that one should go for 70-536 or 642-523 before attempting TB0-107, since that exempts one from 642-845 totally.

She woke up this morning and she said it did not hurt, I was really surprised.  It was still a little swollen on the one side where it was pierced twice but other than that it looked good.  She had her hair up in a pony tail to keep it away from the piercing but I am sure it was mainly to show it off.  She was so proud of herself and I was proud of her too.

As promised here are the pictures from Michaela’s industrial piercing. She did really well. The only time she got a little upset was when the girl slide the bar out and lost the hole and then told Michaela she was going to have to pierce her for a third time. Enjoy the slide show and yes that is blood.

November 25th, 2007

Michaela is getting an industrial piercing today.  She says she is terrified but she still wants to get it.  It is basically an ear piercing but instead of one hole it is two and a solid bar is passed between the two.  I will post a picture of it when we get back.  She is paying for it herself and in the long line of battles this is not high on my list so I did not tell her no.  Now if she would have said eyebrow, lip, belly button or anything other than the ear that would have been a no.  But I figure what can it hurt by piercing the ear she can always let it close up if she wants too.

We took Lani to get a hair cut today.  When Aunty Steph cut her hair she just sat so well and did not move or anything but that was not the case today.  She cried a little but she did have fun until we was put in the chair.  It is a place just for children so they had toys and things she was playing with and we go her some lotion called Leilani’s Lotion and it has a hula girl on the front of it and it is tropical smelling.  She is so cute with her little bangs and we did get the back trimmed up just a little.  We basically just evened it out because it has never been cut before and all these little curls came out of nowhere when she trimmed off maybe 1/4 inch off the back and about 1/2 off her bangs.

Do you realize to get your child in a really good private school they need to be put on a list at around the age of 2 years old? I could not believe it. The private schools in this area have started sending us applications to apply now and Lani is not even two yet. Then she would have to be tested to get into the school so at around the age of four you are told it is time to get her anInnovative Tutor. We are very fortunate that the daycare Lani goes too is also a private school so she is guaranteed a spot. They start classroom instruction at 2 years and they are reading by the time they enter kindergarten. I have a feeling Lani having a math tutor and a reading tutor by the time she enters kindergarten is not that far fetched.
