Advents Corner

I don’t think I have told you guys about all of our animals. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We have all of them for at least 3 years, with Smokie, the cat, being our first pet. Our two dogs are Breeze, 10 years, Great Dane and Drake, 4 years, Boxer. They get along so well with the cats, we are very lucky. As you know Great Danes usually live between 8-10 years so Breeze is definitely a senior citizen at this point. We are lucky have cars that are low to the ground so we do not need dog steps at this point but I am sure it will not be long.

We took Breeze to the dog park shortly after we adopted her 5 years ago. It was her very first time at a dog park so she was so excited. Great Danes love to run and run and run and she did. She ran so hard chasing all of the other dogs around and chasing Daddy. She was chasing a little dog and because they can turn very sharply when Danes need a little more warning she was having a blast trying to figure out what that dog was going to do. Well he turned sharp and Breeze tried to follow and she broke her toe. We could not believe it, we had only had for about 2 weeks and it was her first time to the park. Trying to keep a Great Dane on bed rest was not an easy thing to do we had to crate her. She was so sad but at least she had a cushy bed.

This weekend we are going to try and finish the wallpaper in Lani’s room if Matt’s job does not get in the way. He has a really good job but he is on call 24/7 so sometimes that can cut into family time but it is something we have to deal with because he really does like what he does. We do not have much more paper to put up so hopefully we will be able to get it done. Lani is still really sick so right now we are just trying to keep her comfortable and happy.

Ok you have twins that are born one girl one boy. The boy was born first then the girl, but who is older? According to the clock the girl, thanks to daylight savings time. They were born 34 minutes apart but the birth certificate will read that the girl is 26 minutes older than her brother. I have never thought of this before but I guess it does happen. You know these two will be arguing about this for the rest of their lives. I feel bad for Mom and Dad.

Create a wish list on their site and then give the web address to your husband so there will be no question about what you want for Christmas. I love when Matt gives me a wish list for Christmas. He usually gives it to me around Thanksgiving filled with things he would like. That way I know I am getting him something he would like without trying to guess what he wants. It makes it so much easier.

This is a reminder to all of you bloggers out there it is NaBloPoMo. For those that are not familiar with this it is National Blog Posting Month. You must try and write something on your blog everyday, including weekends, for the month of November.
