I was talking to my sister-in-law tonight about what everyone wanted for Christmas. She told me Greg wanted a new game for his 360, big surprise there and of course Mom does not want anything. Don’t you just hate that? When you ask someone what they want and they say, “Oh I don’t need anything” My response to that is always the same, “I did not ask you want you needed I asked you what you wanted.” My sister-in-law was wise this year and had an answer at the ready, she want a skinceuticals. Cool that is two down and I don’t even know how many more to go. You have to love Christmas.
I was putting Lani to bed tonight and she was so tired and fussy. I think she misses her Daddy very much. It was early but she would just lie on the floor and whine so I started getting everything together for her and told her to pick up all of her toys. She is getting so smart she will go and pick them up but she get side tracked sometimes. As soon as I open the microwave door she just starts laughing. I believe that child thinks we only use microwave ovens to heat bottles. She still gets a bottle at night because we give her allergy medicine in it. It is easier that way because it is powder so we have always just poured it into the bottle.
The family will be here for Christmas and right now my biggest aggravation is the light fixtures in the bathroom. We replaced it last year, we just bought what we thought was a good one at Home Depot and the bulb on the right burns out all of the time. I guess I just need to break down and get a better one so hopefully it will last longer.
My search for an Advent calendar is still underway but until I find one that I like I am going to try and make one of my very own. I have starting looking for Christmas trees, angels and such to cut out of fabric to start the calendar. I really don’t know how this is going to turn out but I thought why not. I stopped at JoAnn’s on the way home to see if they had a kit or something but sadly no. I have looked all over the web but nothing has caught my eye. So wish me luck and I will keep you posted as this develops.
Christmas time is upon us and one of the things I always try to get is Personalized Gifts for Children, it makes the gift even more special because it was made for them. This year I think it is time for new stockings for everyone. Since the birth of Lani our stocking do not match anymore and I am a stickler for matching at Christmas time. The two oldest girls have had the same stockings for 11 years and they love them. I am still in a search for nice stocking for me and Matt; you think I would have found them by now.
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR VOTING IN THIS ROUND. IF YOU HAVE NOT VOTED PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO DO IT NOW, THE DIRECTIONS ARE BELOW. LET’S GET LEILANI TO THE NEXT ROUND.
This time the voting for cutest baby is different, they have made it harder. Here is the link She is under L-M category. You have to scroll through all of the photos in that category and then it will give you another screen to vote at. Pick her picture (she is the one in the poodle outfit) and then enter your address. They will send you an email and when you hit the link in the email your vote is cast. Sorry this is so much trouble and you don’t have to do it if you don’t want too. Voting is open until the 16th and you can only one time from each email address so if you have a couple vote a couple of times. If you vote a couple of times you have to delete your cookies to get the buttons to display again. Thanks and if you have any questions let me know. Below is the picture you will be looking for.
Today was our first day of cold weather. It was 47 degrees this morning when we were leaving the house so Lani had to bundle up. Here she is the latest winter fashion. Levis, super soft sweater and blue jean jacket. Of course with the ever present sippy cup, no outfit is complete without it.
