The family will be here for Christmas and right now my biggest aggravation is the light fixtures in the bathroom. We replaced it last year, we just bought what we thought was a good one at Home Depot and the bulb on the right burns out all of the time. I guess I just need to break down and get a better one so hopefully it will last longer.

My search for an Advent calendar is still underway but until I find one that I like I am going to try and make one of my very own.  I have starting looking for Christmas trees, angels and such to cut out of fabric to start the calendar.  I really don’t know how this is going to turn out but I thought why not.  I stopped at JoAnn’s on the way home to see if they had a kit or something but sadly no.  I have looked all over the web but nothing has caught my eye.  So wish me luck and I will keep you posted as this develops.

Christmas time is upon us and one of the things I always try to get is Personalized Gifts for Children, it makes the gift even more special because it was made for them.  This year I think it is time for new stockings for everyone.  Since the birth of Lani our stocking do not match anymore and I am a stickler for matching at Christmas time.  The two oldest girls have had the same stockings for 11 years and they love them.  I am still in a search for nice stocking for me and Matt; you think I would have found them by now.

They will send you an email and when you hit the link in the email your vote is cast. Sorry this is so much trouble and you don’t have to do it if you don’t want too. Today was our first day of cold weather.  It was 47 degrees this morning when we were leaving the house so Lani had to bundle up.  Here she is the latest winter fashion.  Levis, super soft sweater and blue jean jacket.  Of course with the ever present sippy cup, no outfit is complete without it. Wouldn’t it be nice to be surrounded by beautiful flowers for your Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner but think fresh flowers by the bunch are out of your budget?  When you buy wholesale flowers you get to buy them straight from the growers at a discount price.  You can not get flowers fresher than these unless you grow them yourself and what a wonderful treat for all of your guest to have fresh flowers at the dinner table.

I hope you are as excited about Christmas as I am.  I know we have not made it to Thanksgiving yet but I wanted to put up some Christmas coloring pages to get a jump start on the holiday spirit.   I am already reading Lani Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and pointing out Santa for her.  I can’t wait.  So anyway enjoy the coloring sheets.

holiday gift baskets are a time honored tradition. It is so nice to give a basket when you are not sure that exactly to get that person. With several combinations to choose from you are sure to get one that everyone loves. Does that person love cheeses or snacks? You can even get a basket just for your administrative assistant. From organic baskets to black velvet cake, use the gift finder to help you get the exact basket you want. Search by regions also, such as Argentinean, Swedish, Greek and many more. I know sometimes you feel like you have been taken advantage of by some gift basket companies because the basket was not what you were expecting but with a 100% satisfaction guarantee you can not go wrong.

I am always looking for new recipes, some work some don’t.  This one looks like it will be good and just may grace our Thanksgiving table this year instead of regular rolls.  Ham and Cheese biscuits.  The sound so good and the recipe looks easy enough to fit into the menu. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Do you wonder sometimes where people get there work ethic?  I know we do not all work the same but I thought that some things were just common sense but I guess that is my stupidity.  Here is a list of things I think would be common sense for people but I guess if someone had to make a list it is obviously not common sense for us all.

Sorry I have not made too many post lately but Lani was sick with pneumonia.  She is doing much better now is suppose to go back to daycare tomorrow.  Today was the first day since last Thursday she did not have fever and her appetite is getting better.  I guess the shot they gave her really did wonders.

I just received this new software called Frame My Photos. There were a lot of disc involved so I thought it was going to be a pain to install but to my surprise it was not. Just simple point and click then it was installed. It took a few minutes to install but there is a status bar so you know you are accomplishing something.

I think one of the coolest things about this software is you can look at your picture in the frames and scroll through them so you see how your picture looks in it or you can browse all of the frames at once and just chose the one you like. Also you move your picture up and down or side to side while it is on the card so no more guessing about margins.

Say you made a really cool frame you want to get custom photo gifts, just upload your saved frame on their site and you have it. They make it and send it to you. If you printer is like mine printing a few pictures on it is no problem but printing the amount of Christmas cards I need is a job too big for it. Save your frame on a flash drive or disk and take it down to the store and get copies.  Check out the card I made.  I think this will be our Christmas card.

This is crazy, I went from a PR 3 to a PR 2 and Matt’s went from a PR 2 to a PR0. My PPP has really suffered from it. I was getting about 35-55 opps a day and now I have 11, how is this fair? I don’t understand. Some say it is because of PPP I just think it is Google flexing their muscle. We will see what happens with PPP when PositCon is over on Sunday. I bet a lot of them do not even realize that is going on. I really feel bad for them when they get back to real life on Monday and see how their pages have gone down. Hopefully PPP will help us out of this.

Finally some good things are starting to come out of New Orleans. Thomas McCauley was in New Orleans for a convention when he won $8,000 at a casino. He placed all of the cash winnings in a spare wallet that he carries in case his pockets are picked. While at a restaurant the wallet fell out of his pocket in the booth that he and a friend were sitting in. When McCauley realized the wallet was gone he figured his pockets had been picked but rushed back the restaurant to make sure he did not drop it. The waiter, Al Castro, returned the wallet and refused a reward. The general manager of the restaurant said hat Castro would be taken care of. Finally some good news coming out of New Orleans for a change.

I don’t think I have told you guys about all of our animals. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We have all of them for at least 3 years, with Smokie, the cat, being our first pet. Our two dogs are Breeze, 10 years, Great Dane and Drake, 4 years, Boxer. They get along so well with the cats, we are very lucky. As you know Great Danes usually live between 8-10 years so Breeze is definitely a senior citizen at this point. We are lucky have cars that are low to the ground so we do not need dog steps at this point but I am sure it will not be long.

We took Breeze to the dog park shortly after we adopted her 5 years ago. It was her very first time at a dog park so she was so excited. Great Danes love to run and run and run and she did. She ran so hard chasing all of the other dogs around and chasing Daddy. She was chasing a little dog and because they can turn very sharply when Danes need a little more warning she was having a blast trying to figure out what that dog was going to do. Well he turned sharp and Breeze tried to follow and she broke her toe. We could not believe it, we had only had for about 2 weeks and it was her first time to the park. Trying to keep a Great Dane on bed rest was not an easy thing to do we had to crate her. She was so sad but at least she had a cushy bed.
