When Lani was born she would sit with Matt at the computer desk and he would play Jack Johnson all the time. Because she was a preemie we felt it was necessary to have her as close to us as possible and her bonding time with Daddy was spent at the computer listening to “Do you remember” She loved his cd so much that for 2 months when we were in the car that was the only cd we could play. Thank goodness we all like Jack. Now he is on the cover of Rolling Stone.
His music is simple yet thought provoking. If you don’t believe me have a listen to Good People or The News. I often wonder also how news casters can make it through the news without crying. I can’t, really. Matt does not like it when I watch the news because I can not make it through a cast without crying. Thanks Jack for giving us good quality music the whole family can listen too.
When you pay all of this money for tickets for your daughter to see Hannah Montana, don’t you think you should be seeing Hannah Montana? That is what I think. For a brief moment Hannah/Miley is replaced with a body double. According to Miley’s rep it is simply for a quick wardrobe change and nothing more. Although it does appear that the body double sings part of the song, the statement released by Miley’s reps say the body double does not sing at all. Guess their trap door did not work so well at keeping this a secret.
This landed in my email box from my friend Darla. I want to thank Darla for sharing this with everyone and I wanted to pass it on to you. The song is by George Jones and the lyrics are beautiful. I cried and I do not tear up easily with I get forwards in my email box. My father-in-law, who I believe is my Dad, served in Vietnam and he is the greatest hero I know. Not only was he a hero in a time of war but he is a hero to our family. He is a kind, generous, smart and loving man. I thank God everyday that he is such a good man and I am so thankful God gave me the priviledge of having him in my life. Thank you Dad and to all of the men and women that served and still serve today.
I know we all have different opinions on the current war we are waging and the wars we have had in the past. One thing we must always hold in our heart, is that no matter our feelings about war our feelings for our soilders should never waver. They fight for us to be able to disagree but one thing we should always agree on is that if it were not for them we would not have the lives we live today.
Oh man flash back to the 80’s, which I dearly loved. How can you think of the 80’s without Van Halen popping into your mind? Catch the Van Halen tour coming to a city near you. Who is singing you ask? The one the only David Lee Roth. They have come together again to give us some of that 80’s rock we all know and love. Just to let you know, don’t look for bassist Michael Anthony, he is being replaced by Eddie Van Halen’s 16 year old son Wolfgang. He picked all of the songs that would be preformed to give the band a youthful feeling. So dig out those lyrics to Jump and get those tickets.
The White Stripes have announced that they are cancelling the remainder of their tour dates. Meg White is dealing with acute anxiety. Let’s all wish Meg a speedy recovery.
