Take a moment to scan this list of toys that were recalled in 2007 you may have missed a recall.  Lani had the teething ring so that was a little scary.  I thought I was up to date on the recalls but according to this list a couple of them slipped by me.

Yet another toy recall this time involving the Laugh & Lean Kitchen from Fisher-Price.  I can not believe this, with Christmas coming, how we are now being flooded with recalls.  This time it is voluntary recall by Fisher-Price.    There have been 48 reported cases at this point involving children choking on the small parts coming off of the toys.  There have been no reports of serious injury to any of the children involved.  Please contact Fisher-Price for your free repair kit.  The kitchens cost around $70, so much for buying the more expensive toys in hopes they are better.

Once again we have a toy recall, not for lead paint because that would just be old news by now.  This one is tainted with the “date rape” drug GHB.  Aqua Dots, one of the hottest toys for this holiday season, are now being pulled from shelves across the country.  If you have these toys please THROW IT OUT IMMEDIATLY.  Several children have become very ill when exposed to the toy.  A two year old swallowed several of the beads and after vomiting several times fell into a coma.  Children exposed to the beads will become dizzy, begin to vomit then go into a coma like state.  So far the children that have been affected have come out of the comas and appear to be on their way to recovery.  The distributor Spin Master Ltd. has stopped shipment of all Aqua Dots.

Another recall, but this time is it too late?  Last night the government decided they would recall packages of “Ugly Teeth” right before Halloween.  I wonder how many people had these teeth and gave them to their children.  This time this was something that was designed to put in your mouth and it contained 100 times the amount of allowable lead.

When is all of this going to stop.  I can tell you this though, I will be buying one of those lead detection kits and testing any toy Lani gets for Christmas this year.  It really makes you want to go through and test every toy your child has in the toy box.  We trust these people to protect our kids but it is becoming more evident that it is solely up to us to make sure our children are safe.  Please look at the recall and make sure you do know have any of these around the house.

Ok now I have started a category just for recalls.  This is getting so crazy.  JCPenny is recalling  90,000 toys because of excessive lead in the paint, big surprise there. I will give you one guess where they came from CHINA. What in God’s name are they doing over there? The toys that are affected are the Winnie The Pooh 23 piece play set bought between August 2005 and August 2007, decorative ornaments and art kits.

In addition Riddell, Inc. has recalled Jeff Gordon NASCAR helmets, Kipp Brothers has recalled dinosaur toys and Cracker Barrel has recalled a magnetic art kit.

Please look at the list and determine if your have any of these and take them from you child immediately.

The medicine is being taken off of the shelf because parents are not following the guidelines resulting in an overdose. The medication is not bad or tainted.  It is so important to give the exact amount of medication to children. If the medication says do not give to a child under 2 or gives weight dosage it is very important to follow those instructions. If you do not know how much your child weighs DO NOT GUESS. The medication works when it is used the way it is intended in the correct dose for the child.

You can call your physician and they will give you an exact dose for your child. Lani takes medication, that on the bottle it says not to give to a child under 2 but because her doctor figures out the correct dosage for her it is very safe. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you are unsure if you should give it to your child THEN DON’T.

Banquet frozen turkey and chicken pot pies have been linked to an outbreak of salmonella poisoining. The pot pies with the code P-9 are affected by the recall. You can return the empty boxes to the store you purchased them at or mail them to ConAgra Foods for a refund.

So far 100 people in 12 different states have fallen ill after eating the pot pies. Please check your freezer and throw the pies out if you have any. If you did eat one, you usually become sick 12 to 72 hours after eating it and your symptoms would include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps.

Studying for 70-270 or 310-200 can be quite a nuisance if you have not done 70-296 or 1Y0-259 earlier. This also means that advanced certifications like EX0-100 cannot be achieved without basics like 70-536 and 156-215.
