OK I saw this laundry hamper and I just thought it was the coolest thing. First off I know I would not use it for a laundry hamper because there are so many more things I could do with this. Besides my house is not that big that I need to worry about wheeling my laundry from one end to the other. I could however see this to be useful for laundry if you had to go to a laundry mat or something.
I thought about all of the times me and Lani come home in the evenings and she has her paperwork for the day, lunchbox, jacket, my purse, work folders and of course the items that we picked up from the grocery store on the way home. We could just throw everything in there and make only one trip instead of two or three. Then I run into the issue of having to chase Lani down because she left out of the house on one of my trips to the car. I really think I am going to get one of these. Maybe I will ask for it for Christmas. I really like this thing the possibilities are endless.
What about the picnics or trip to the park or just trips to the store. You could just put you bags in it as you come out of the store and when you get home everything is already in it and all you have to do is wheel it into the house….perfect.
I got my brother the funniest shirt for Christmas. He was famous for sometimes wearing inappropriate funny t shirts if you know what I mean. This year for Christmas I thought I would get him a funny shirt like he used to wear but a little more on the tame side than he wore before. It is:

It took him a second but once he got I thought he was going to die laughing. He however was a little disappointed when he put it on the next day and went out and about and he did not get one second look. I told him he needed to shop with more intelligent people and they would get it.
We are getting ready for our trip to Asia and we are getting so excited. I can not believe it is only about 2 1/2 weeks away. I love classic jewelry like pearls and such I think they are so beautiful and timeless. I am of course going to do some shopping while we are over there and I want to look for Akoya pearls. They are just so beautiful. I love the ones with the silver undertones. Hopefully I come back with some great finds.
We finally bit the bullet and bought a new DVD player with surround sound. The one we had was about 6 years old and it would not play DVDs sometimes. In fact it would dictate which DVD you were going to watch at what time. The last straw was when I took the wrapper off of the brand new Dumbo put it in to watch with Lani and it would not work. I was so upset, it was a brand new movie. So off we went to Best Buy and got a new system. I love it and man what a leap in technology from our old one. So next is going to be a tv wall mount. I think that would be so cool, it would really be like you are at the movies.
Long story short we still owed Jill a unbirthday and Christmas present so I took to my laptop this weekend and did some shopping. I got Jill the prettiest designer jewelry. I got her a bracelet and necklace. I hope she likes it and that she forgives us for it being so late. Here it is April and I am just sending out Christmas present, that is a sad note. Anyway I am hoping that she likes the gifts so much that it does not matter that it is 4 months late.

I tore this house up today looking for a stupid ink pen.Why is it when you need something you can never find it and when you don’t there are 1,000 of them lying around everywhere.Tomorrow I am going to buy some ink pens so I do not have this problem again.Michaela has a habit of “using” one but not returning it especially if it is one that is really cool and she likes it.
Well Christmas is over and everyone is settling in with their favorite presents of the season.Michaela and Serena loved the beautiful gemstone jewelry Matt and I bought them for Christmas and of course I love my ½ carat diamond solitaire that Matt got me.Michaela arrived home yesterday so the house has a little more noise in it then it did before.I am very happy that she decided to go to school locally and continue to live with us. I was definitely starting to have some empty nest feelings going on even though we have Lani here, so that was a little weird.
Yes I was that brave, I went to the mall on my lunch break. I had to miss going to the homeless cafe today because I am still getting my Christmas gifts together. I can finally take Dad, Uncle Ron, and Michaela off of my list. I am still waiting on Michaela’s gift from Santa to come in but other than that she is done, so are Serena and Lani.I would tell you what I got them but they read this so that would spoil the fun of them being surprised.
My Mom and family in Louisiana received their packages yesterday and everyone so very happy with their gifts.Mom said the LSU jacket I got my brother fit him perfect and he loved it.

Like I said I have been Christmas shopping and I have found some good deals but I really need is my own little set of christmas elves, now that would be nice.They could take out the tree and sort out all of the ornaments and untangle all of the lights.They would make sure all of the lights on the tree worked and then they would decorate the outside as well.Oh to have just one Christmas elf.

I don’t think I have told you guys about all of our animals.We have 2 dogs and 2 cats.We have all of them for at least 3 years, with Smokie, the cat, being our first pet.Our two dogs are Breeze, 10 years, Great Dane and Drake, 4 years, Boxer.They get along so well with the cats, we are very lucky.As you know Great Danes usually live between 8-10 years so Breeze is definitely a senior citizen at this point.We are lucky have cars that are low to the ground so we do not need dog steps at this point but I am sure it will not be long.
We took Breeze to the dog park shortly after we adopted her 5 years ago.It was her very first time at a dog park so she was so excited.Great Danes love to run and run and run and she did.She ran so hard chasing all of the other dogs around and chasing Daddy.She was chasing a little dog and because they can turn very sharply when Danes need a little more warning she was having a blast trying to figure out what that dog was going to do.Well he turned sharp and Breeze tried to follow and she broke her toe.We could not believe it, we had only had for about 2 weeks and it was her first time to the park.Trying to keep a Great Dane on bed rest was not an easy thing to do we had to crate her.She was so sad but at least she had a cushy bed.
