Advents Corner

The new series of Heros has begun and I guess so far so good.  This season seems slower than the first one but my main complaint is the stupid commercials.  Is it just me or do they advertise every 5 minutes and as the show goes on the commercials get longer.  I was so ticked off last night.  Why make the show an hour?  You could cut it down to 30 minutes and all we would miss would be Sprint advertisements.

I understand everyone needs to make money but lets be a little more sensible about it.  Just a thought.

Those little blue forest dwellers that we all know and love are 50 years old.  Smurfette looks pretty dang good for 50.  The smurfs were created in 1958 by Pierre Culliford but it was not until 1981 when they hit the television that they gained world wide fame.  To celebrate this milestone plans are in the works for a new 3-D animation film, the release of the animated series on DVD and a new comic book collection.

I am looking forward to Lani being able to enjoy the smurfs like I did when I was young.  I can remember watching it with my little cousin who we affectionately referred to as Gargasmell. 

After doing the samba Marie Osmond fainted on stage.  The audience began to laugh perhaps thinking it was a joke in response to the judges comments.  After going to a commercial break Marie was standing with her partner to get their scores for the dance, still very winded and shaking.
